I finally got my Classic Custom. It took 9 weeks, which isn't bad. What a beautiful 1911. This is my second Brown and I figured to get the flagship model. I also got the optional magwell.

The CC features a highly polished slide and every feature you could want standard. As you can see, I got the two tone version.

Thanks guys. No, I haven't shot it yet.

I've been dying to do a side by side comparison between this model and a Wilson Classic Super Grade. I want to see which flagship model I like more.

Beautiful pistol. Does the extended mag release come standard or as an option?

Man, you buy nice 1911s. That model is top end classy, especially the finish.

Not many things appeal to me as much or more than a Glock... I love Ed Brown 1911's.

Standard.

The only option is the magwell.

Wow, nice.

I personally don't care too much for two-tone guns, but that slide is *polished*!

Which do you think has the nicer fit and finish between the Wilson and Ed Brown?

What LPI checkering do each have? Brown *almost* looks like 20, though its probably 25 and I'm pretty sure the Wilson has 30, correct?

Brown and Wilson both have the nicest fit and finishes in the semi custom market. Its hard to choose between them. I do like the mirror finish slide on the Classic Custom.

The Brown is 25 and the Wilson is 30lpi.

you really do have a great collection of pistols and especially 1911's

not to sound offensive but how come no full house custom pistols (yost, CT brian,Rogers, etc) , why do you stick with the semi customs (i.e. baer, nighthawk, Ed Brown, wilson). just always kinda wondered

Actually, I have a full house custom Pistol Dynamics Signature on order. Its one of the best custom 1911s you can buy. Also, no base gun needed. Paul Liebenberg has his own in-house frames and slides as well now. I specified every detail.

Its been on order since December '07 and wait time is 14-16 months. Price was $4500.

Here's an example, but they're all different. Mine is full hard chrome and has every feature you could want.

Thanks.

Paul also used to head up the S&W's Performance Center as well years ago. He is a very informative guy to talk to and does awesome work.

Thanks yote.

Maybe so. It should be close. Without having shot the Brown, I do give the Wilson Super Grade a slight advantage on the trigger. However, I like the mirror bluing on the Brown better than the Wilson's Armor-Tuff. I always felt that Wilson should have upgraded the finish on the Super Grade. It has the same finish as their standard CQB.

That's a massive mag release.

I hope it's nothing more than a range gun.

That's what's known as an extended or oversized mag release.

My Rock River Limited Match has one as well. I like them.
