Very cool, Stasha!
I used to do a bit of rapelling from helicopters, down walls, and cliffs when I was in the Marines.
Do you know how to do the Australian style of rapelling? It's head first. :woohoo:

I forgot to ask if you're an advanced enthusiast and if you do a self-belay or if you have someone else minding that task?
Those cable adventures are great. I did the same thing in Chile in March. Had so much fun I almost soiled myself.

The falls in the background are Iguassu Falls if you are on the Brazilian side and Iguazu Falls when on the Argentine side.
Paw, This is only the second time I´ve gone without my hubby on belay. It´s a 55 meter drop. I would consider myself a total amateur but if you´ve ever heard the Brian Reagan skit about Walking on the Moon, this is my walking on the moon. After all, it´s not everyone who can say, "Yeah, I rappelled at Iguassu Falls." They put major safety brakes on the carbiner so instead of sliding down the rope, I had to pull myself down.
This whole trip is an example of where education can take you. This is the Foreign Business excursion for my EMBA program. 23 May to 30 May was Brazil (I swam in the ocean on Copacabana Beach in Rio on Sunday). Tonight I´m in Buenos Aires, this morning was spent in Colonia, Uruguay. Tuesday, we leave for Lima, Peru and we´ll hit Macchu Pichu before heading home on June 8.
Not to be a spelling nazi... but you we're rappelling.

You mean were? And Nazi should be capitalized.

Gentlemen, thank you for the kind comments and the correction on the spelling. I have made the corrections.
Either way, it was a lot of fun and I´m going to have to participate in the activity more often even if I don´t have access to such a fantastic location.
Now off to add to my collection of pictures....

Me too :whistling:
Stuff like that is nuts, you'd never catch me with my feet leaving the ground. Crap, you wouldn't catch me on a plane either.
