View Full Version : What good is a digital movie copy?
So I got the new 4 movie Rambo set, and it came with a digital copy of the newest movie. What good is this? I have the Rambo copy now on my computer, but I don't have a single player that will play it. I put it into wmv format, because I was going to put it on my Zune.
It does nothing. The software doesn't know what to do with it. Windows M player, chokes. It says it need an upgrade, that does not exist. The file is protected, and I am looking for a small program to strip the DRM.
This is a huge waste of time, and I hardly think worth it.
For ME, I love digital copies. The kids like to play frisbee with their DVDs (they buy movies with birthday money) and the little ones use them as skates. If I have the digital copy, they cannot wreck that. I put the movies on my iPod and hook the iPod up to my tv - excellent quality movie.

If you google and download a free program called dvd Shrink, then use it to shrink the program file to fit a disk, then you can burn it to a dvd using power to go or any burning software if you have some. If you don't have a burner pm me and if you send me the file I'll mail you a copy on DVD
Some play to iPod some do not.
Like the iPod ones.
I downloaded several programs, but none of them can strip the drm off the wmv file. One of them was tunebite, which claims it can, but the program does nothing I can tell.
I've used dvd shrink to shrink a dvd movie before, and I also have the DVD decrypt program. I have never attempted to put a movie on an mp3 player before though. I was hoping to rip it into one single file, and as far as I know you can't with a regular dvd. The the digi copy it let me though, but it is drm protected. The protection won't let me play it on anything.

DVD Fab DVD Decrypter 4 work good when normal free stuff like dvd43 won't do it. It's free for the basic program and works great backing up files on newer discs including sony and others that dvd43 can't do. Also it can change file into your preference. As far as the mp3 I don't know right now but I just ordered a new mp3 mp4 player so I toy with it when it gets here and post the out come.
