I think I'm in the wrong field! Those guys have awesome schedules. Something like 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off. In that constant rotation. And someone else pays for ammo and fuel. I could live with that.

I have several friends in that field, as well in the healthcare field with schedules like that.

The ammo and fuel would be an awesome bonus!

Then there is the record number of homicides in one night, all shift holdover, all leave cancelled. Several times have seen me hit 24 hours in uniform. When you shave, but don't change your uniform, you have been working too long.

Still, I like the work. The pay ain't bad when I'm working. Far and away the most fun is the plainclothes work, executive protection, strike force/task force stuff. SWAT is ok.
