To all:

I have a Dura-Coated BHP that I am really enjoying. There is only one problem. I live in SC and with the humidity, things get slick. I'd like to find some good grips that will prevent any shifting and aid in my shooting.

The primary thing I am interested in is the ability to control/grip the firearm better.

Hogue? Pachmyer?

Cheers!

Rubber grips get nasty when wet (Hogues feel almost slimey), that is one reason I quit using them.

Some nice checkered wood or maybe Alumagrips for it. I know they make BHP grips now, but haven't tried them. I LOVE them on my 1911 though. They offer good grip without being sharp and painful, are durable as they are aluminum and so far mine have held up great on my carry 1911. Not even a scratch on the finish (good durable anodizing).

See, I was afraid of that. It seems that the frontstrap of my BHP is contributing to the aforementioned slippage.

I have Hogue grips on my revolver and they don't have any issues whatsoever. I will certainly look into Alumagrips, as I'd really like to solve this minor worry.

Damn humidity.

Cheers!

Try Pachmayr. I am using a set on my HP w/o the backstrap installed and it is working well for me.

If the front strap is your concern, go to a skateboard shop and get some skateboard grip tape. I paid $5 for enought to cover an entire board (enough for about 50 frontstraps). I cut it and stuck it on the frame with the grips off (so the grips cover the edges of the tape to help keep it from starting to peel off). I love it. I have it on the front straps of both of my 1911s instead of paying for expensive (albeit prettier) checkering. It is grippy, but not sticky like rubber.

also skateboard tape on the front and backstraps does wonders.
