Had my first squib, and if that wasnt embarinsing enough, now Ive got the coper jacket stuck in the barrel. I made a mistake by heating the barrel in order to knock the round out, but the only thing that came out was the lead core of the bullet. Now what? Stuck in an after market stainless barrel, need help.

Your best bet is to use a wooden dowel smaller than the bore and pound out the jacket from the muzzle through the chamber. Or if you don't feel comfortable doing that then take it to your local friendly gunsmith.
Good Luck. Also in the future I would not heat the barrel.

He's absolutely right. Wooden dowl + rubber mallet. It shouldn't cause any damage and it will fix it easily.

How did you heat the barrel?

Been a long time since Ive been back to the site, so didnt see the responses. Ive tried a wooden dowl, but it just forces itself through the jacket. I heated the barel using a map gas torch, Im guesing I ruined it. On the brite side, Ive now got a case guage.

yes sir you definitely ruined the the temper of the steel, you annealed it or partially annealed the steel which basically means you softened the steel. It could be heat treated again and be fine but without knowing the composition of the steel and the exact process the manufacturer uses to heat treat and temper it your up s**t creek. Its actually ironic that you used MAPP gas in the first place because alot of hobby blacksmiths use it as fuel for small gas forges. But anyway I'm getting off target, you could contact the manufacturer and ask if they could reheat treat it for you. Its probably a long shot, but hey asking never hurt anybody.

Dowel technique prior to melting the lead core would definately have worked...
