I am on the texas coast. Its really hard to hide that Bigdog when its hot 10 months of the year. Thinking about getting rid of the dog
and buying a G33 but I have a lot of money in holsters (Sidearmor, Kramers) that are hard to sell. Hows the G33 in power compared to the Glock30????
Does it conceal that musch better in light clothes. What methods to conceal besides fanny packs.

Let me know.

Thanks

The G33 is easier to conceal, I've been carrying one for 4 years IWB, it's smaller than the G30 in every dimension. The 357 round is considerably more powerful than all but the exotic 45's. You will want to get pearce +1 extensions for the mags, for a full 11 rounds, and a place for your pinky finger to hang, my accuracy improved with the extensions. I never feel under gunned with a G33. I always carry IWB, the kramer holster is bulkier than the gun. I've found the cheap don hume holster ideal for this gun, it's flat and secure, I have/had the big buck holsters, and prefer the hume IWB, or no holster at all.

I'm sure it was a typo / oversight but the standard Glock 33/27 mags are 9 round and adding a one round extension is advisable and legal and would result in 10 round mags. Adding an extension that results in an 11 round mag ( they exist) would be illegal and could get you imprisoned for 10 years. Damn those wacko gun control nuts!

How about 10 in the mag and 1 in the chamber. That will make 11. I think that is his plan.

I know how you feel about the Texas heat, I have a G33 for CHL, It is pretty easy to conceal and it is a powerhouse round, It is one of my favorites. I do have the Pearce +1 extensions on all my mag's, as well as Mepro Nite sights, at Fifteen yards I am still as Accurate as I am at 7yds, If my eyesight was better My 25 would be good too, I can still group 4" at 25yrds.
I don't know about CCW the 30 cause I have just been able to fondle it, But you wont be sorry you picked the 33,

Jim

I have a couple guns in my CCW and use then depending of the weather. I started carrying the 33 because it was the smallest and Vegas being quite hot this time of the year...

Now I am not sure I would carry anything else. It took a bit to get used to but, after a month or so firing it daily, I am impressed how accurate it can shoot.

Keep your G30. Buy a G33 and Galco pocket holster. After six months, decide which to keep. I expect you will keep both.

If you can, try before you buy.

I would keep the G30; I like the G29 myself.
Test drive a G33.

If you haven't tried one, you will be amazed at the tack driving ability of the G33. My G33 is a tad more accurate than my G32 and it ain't no slouch! For the Texas heat, it is the ideal matchup for CCW.:deadhorse:

I disliked the 30 and sold it after a couple months. I kept my G33 for five years.

Whenever possible, don't sell, just add to the collection.

I have both and split time carrying both. The 33 is easier to conceal in a t-shirt for me. But whenever I am wearing more than just a t-shirt I pack the 30.

I remember those days fondly, when I was without responsibilities!

Have/had all three.

Like the G33 for deeper cover but prefer a G29 for almost all carry.

I love my G33, but I'd try to find a way to keep my G30 as well.

I agree.

I just bought a G27 and ordered a G33 347 SIG barrel for CCW.

+1
Just got my G33 barrel and have fired 100 rounds through it. Great accuracy power and penitration. I am a .357sig convert. More expensive to fire but my life is worth it. :pepper:
