A couple of weeks ago, I was working on the weekend and decided to wear my MTAC, G36, and jeans and polo shirt tucked it. Did a bunch of errands after work and no problems. If I am able to be totally casual, I'll keep it untucked, but in this case I liked being able to keep the shirt tucked and not look too causual. Just curious, how many of you guys wear your shirt tucked in with your IWB holster?

Tried it. I'm a skinny guy and I think the bulge on my hip is suspect. Maybe it's just me. Great holster though. Best I've used so far.

For dress clothes I just go to pocket carry.

I am also skinny so I cannot get away with tucking in my shirt. When I have to dress up, I usually have to wear a suit coat which make it easy for me to still carry.

I've tucked it in before.

But now I wear suspenders to help correct the birth defect I have (born without a derrière), and I'm too vain to wear them on the outside of my overshirt, so I don't tuck my overshirt in.

I've done it with a T shirt. just make sure the shirt is loose fitting. and don't tuck it all the way down.leave a little excess out and let it naturally roll over.

never been made yet.

Me myself cannot tuck it in because there's not a bunch of room between my Mtac and my pants..lol...as I carry a few extra punds around with me.. So I usually just carry and untuck my shirt with an undershirt on.

I was thinking about tucking with my MTAC. Usually I'll just use a smartcarry, or pocket or ankle carry when I need to tuck.

I'm pretty confident it would work out for me. I'll have to try it out in the near future.

I cannot reasonably do it with my GL23 and CTAC without fear of printing. I am somewhere in between skinny and fat.

It depends on the handgun though. I use a CompTac ShirtTucker with a J-frame and it works pretty well.

I do it all the time. I carry my G30 almost everyday with dress pants and tucked shirt, with my "smaller" pants I pocket carry a Keltec P3AT.

I just tucked with my m-tac this weekend at church and had no problems hiding it. I was carrying Glock 19. It really conceals well, I was really amazed at how it just dissapears. I'm wearing it about 3:30-4 o'clock.

I've done it a few times over the last week. Once with a T-shirt, the other with a button down. Both times it worked well. I always have my wife see if she can tell I'm carrying before I leave the house.

I did once, when bringing my G19 to a college graduation dinner party. It concealed very well.

On the way there (we carpooled), the topic of conversation somehow switched to the second amendment (wasn't me I promise) and my friend's mom started ranting about how the 2nd amendment only applies to militias and people shouldn't be allowed to carry guns around in Virginia... I almost busted out laughing. Go figure, she's from NoVA and works in DC...

Do it all the time with a G27.

I wear my G36 in my LH MTAC at 8:00, almost always tucked. It has a lot to do with the kind of shirt - basically, just don't try it with a knit like a polo.

Even a thin dress shirt is fine, because it blouses out in no time, disguising the bulge. Not that a 36 gives much of a bulge anyway. Fact is, I don't even need to change from my usual snug-fitting wardrobe to carry the gun, but the spare mag is a different story. I still haven't come up with a comfy IWB setup for the +1 (Pearce) mag - the Galco carrier is too square in cross-section.

I can't tuck with a glock, its just too much of a bulge in my waistline. My wife says it looks like I have a tumor. So I use a smart carry when I need to tuck a shirt in. With the right pants, my G26 disappears in a smart carry.

Yes, I do, when I carry my G19 and I'm in dress clothes. Maybe once a month, works fine for me.

Tucking allows you to 'blouse' the shirt rather than have it lay against you. IWB works better for me when tucked. It is nearly impossible to make it print.

The maker and style of the shirt determines whether I can tuck it over the gun and holster. Some manufacturers "cut" is a bit more tapered which does not work well for blousing of the shirt. Although I recently dropped a few pounds and am approaching "svelte" allowing me to wear tapered shirts, I still keep few full cut shirts for tucking. Type of material makes a difference too - heavier material the better.

I do. All day at work. Works great. (G26)

I guess I'm confused. At first, I thought you meant tucked in between the holster and you. But, then it wouldn't be concealed. So, you must mean tucked between the pants and the holster. But, that would seem to cause it to bunch up suspiciously.

Can you post of picture?

When done properly it doesn't cause any suspicious bunching up. Shirts that get tucked end up 'bloused' as a result of movement, bending over, sitting down, lifting the arms up, etc. I get mine to look just right quite easly now having done it so many times. Tuck shirt in to hide gun, get belt to correct tightness, then move around a specific way that involves lifting my strong side arm up and leaning my body so that my strong side shoulder comes up. Voila, naturally bloused, tucked shirt doing a damn good job of hiding the sub compact Glock.

I have it a little bit easier in that I usually wear two shirts, though. A relatively heavy T shirt under the dress shirt.

I carry a G19 in a CTAC tucked every day, long sleeve shirts and polo shirts, with a t-shirt underneath. Blouse it a little bit as described earlier, it works great. I also carry an IWB mag carrier on the other side.

Wear pants 2 inches larger than if not carrying, wear dark or patterned shirts to break up any outline if you move in such a way to print.

I wear my full-size 1911 in an MTAC. On weekends, I have on a hawaiian shirt untucked. The rest of the time - driving, at work, shopping, etc., I tuck. I wear a good T shirt to protect my precious hide from the grip, and I wear my shirts one size too large so that they blouse out. I also wear pants slightly large to leave room for the tuck. I tighten all in place with a good Beltman belt, and never have a printing problem. It is amazing the way that a full-size pistol disappears when I tuck!

I carry my G29 SOB with a CTAC at work. I have to untuck the shirt a bit to prevent printing and to cover up the J-clips a bit. No ones been the wiser AFAIK.

I tuck and have with all of my guns. Only thing you notice are the clips. I do blouse out my shirt a little more than normal. Last week I carried the G21 all week with shorts and T-shirts.

I carry both tucked and untucked, no problems with either. Great piece of equipment.

The clips may be a dead give away to anyone who knows what a concealable holster is, such as LE or potentionally a criminal, but ordinary... sheep (for the lack of a better term) are clueless. If you are worried about the clips then a velcro-lined belt and the velcro belt clips would be the best method IMO.

I wear a CTAC and G30 tucked every day for work. Business Casual Attire. I got a beltman belt with the velcro lining and the VClips from Comptac. Definitely the best set up for me. With the vclips, even professionals do not realize I am carrying.

While waiting for my CCW to arrive, I have been practicing carrying with both my MTAC and SmartCarry. I have my wife let me know if she can tell I am carrying or not. She actually notices more with my SmartCarry than my MTAC.

I've been wearing the MTAC with my shirt tucked in. I am not super thin, but I am not too heavy a build either. I just pull some slack in my shirt and it looks totally natural. I even asked her if the MTAC c-clips make her curious at all and she said "I didn't even notice them". Having my cell phone clipped to my belt on that side takes some of the attraction to the clips away as well.

As for my SmartCarry, I normally only wear that with baggy shorts (summer right now), but my wife says if she looks long enough, she can tell an "out of place buldge".

I do it every single day with dress pants and a long sleeve dress shirt (as pictured below), NEVER been made. You just cant have the shirt tightly tucked in- have to fluff out a tiny bit.

Placement also makes a huge difference. If you don't have it positioned correctly then you'll look like you have an abnormal growth on your waistline.

I usually carry my G23 in CTAC with V-CLIPS @ 4:00 (as pictured below) but sometimes I opt for the G26 if I feel like I'm going to be moving around a lot. These pics are with a cheapie Walmart belt, I now run a black or brown Beltman belt.

I carried tucked ONCE! You couldnt even tell I was carrying except for the small top and bottom of the C Clips on my belt.

Good story about it:

My buddy once called me and asked me if I wanted to go to a "Make money now!" thing at a hotel. Knowing it was probably going to be a scam , I said no. He continued to beg me saying that he is too stupid to go alone because they'll steal his money. Ok - fine. I agreed. Then he adds the stipulation, "Wear something nice!" Ok, fine, sure, whatever.

I tuck my G19 underneath a shirt and we head out to this damn thing. We stayed for five minutes until I noticed the ultra high stress sales pitch that my friend was starting to buy into. I told him to leave and we did. On the way out one of the body guards or ushers or whatever they were said if we left that we weren't allowed back in. I said we weren't interested. He then grabbed my by my arm and asked me if I was sure. I responded by saying, "It's on cuz."

Yeah, about the clips.

There are several people at work whom I have trusted with the knowledge that I carry (while at work). I have asked all of them if they ever noticed the clips (I use a C-TAC with standard clips, tucked). Not one of them ever even noticed the clips until I pointed them out...and this was after working with them regularly for many months.

I carry my Ultra Carry tucked every day in an MTAC. No one on my office is the wiser. I have been carrying this way for about 6 months and have not been made once.

I have the V clips and use a Tucker gunleather belt with velcro sewn on the inside. This combo ROCKS!
