This is my new Tundra 2008 with a 5.7 liter engine. I love it.

Very nice. Congratulations. My wife and I have a 2006 4-Runner and it is the first Toyota that I have ever had. The quality has impressed me so much that I'm thinking of getting a Toyota when I trade-in my 2004 Ford pickup.

Every time I work on one of those, it winds up at WOT somewhere during the test drive. Just briefly.

381HP and 400 ft/lb is nothing to sneeze at, and the exhaust note is fantastic for a factory pipe.

Have taken a test drive and slobbered all over a white one like pictured in the above.

Absolutely love the electronic shifter on the stick in the console.

I had my '05 Tundra in for routine maintance the other day and see that TRD now has come out with an aftermarket(dealer installed)air intake system(IIRC Borlla) and of course the exhaust.

That should push the HP to near(or just over) 400. All on regular fuel. WOW !!

I have an 08 and like it better than the 1 ton 4 door i had before it. Ride and gas mileage are great and it will tow. Pic below has almost 11000 lbs behind it(trailer, tractor and implements).

What kind of gas mileage are you getting ??

I just picked up an 08' Nissan Frontier V6 4x4 and I'm only getting around 16mpg in stop n go traffic...Ouch !!

17 mpg on the highway if its a 65 mph speed zone and 18.5 in the 55 mph zones.

I don't drive in town much because I get back and forth to work in a take home car. This is for week end driving only pretty much.

Empty i get 17-21, with the trailer and tractor i got my worst 10.9mpg still not bad for a 1/2 ton gasser topping La Veta pass at 60 mph with 11000lbs behind me, i got 14.7 with 6000lbs of sheetrock on the 3300+ trailer. I have had 2 diesels before the Tundra, i cannot complain about power or mileage when you look at cost of diesel fuel vs gas and the added cost to buy the diesel engine option.

The Datsun does not have the Tundra power or size.

Alaskapopo All you need is better tires someday, the rest is great you will be amazed the more you drive it.

I wasnt comparing the 2, I was replying to vypers post on the gas mileage of his frontier. Yes we all know the tundra is huge and so is the pricetag.

What kind of studded snow tires do you recommend. The reason I have this truck is I was in an accident last year and totalled my 4 runner on black ice. I had all season tires on then. I want the best winter tires out there.
