View Full Version : Kahr CW9 preferred carry method?
I'm looking to pick up a CW9 in the very near future and wonder how some of you guys carry it.
I'm sure it will spend a lot of time in my smartcarry, but am open to other suggestions.

Mine works out well in a Smartcarry
Comp-Tac OWB, paddle holster, FBI cant. I have a backup mag in a Comp-Tac mag pouch on the left side.

Would you happen to have any pics wearing that setup? I prefer OWB on most days unless wearing the smartcarry.
How's this? :)

Thanks...looks like the comptac paddle rides nice and close. My only paddle experience is a cheapo fobus.
Yes it does ride high and tight. I like it, and it is very comfortable while driving. I think I could make it get even closer with a slight modification with a heat gun, but haven't tried it yet.

I may have to give one a try. I'm leaning towards the straight drop though. I'm thick enough around the middle that the FBI cant doesn't really help me much.
The gun is very versatile being lightweight and small. You can carry it about any way you want.
I carry mine sometimes in a Fobus paddle holster, other times IWB either behind the hip or appendix in a Hume clip on IWB holster. it also works well in a pocket with a desantis pocket holster.

I am also picking one up soon, it will ride in either my smartcarry or my highnoon mr. softy.
I have never been a fan of OWB, but most of my shirts will only go down to my belt line due to my height and my refusal to wear anything larger than XL.
Like Phone Cop, my wife carry's it in her purse. Her G23 is too heavy.
Just like a woman.
One of three ways:
1. Fobus Paddle Holster (new ones are bad)
2. Galco Ankle Glove (ankle holster)
3. Briefcase
It is light, and excellent for CQ Combat. After break-in, they run well.

We might be ordering two for that very reason. We are both gonna shoot one this weekend and see how we/she likes it. My local gun shop guys are doing our ccw class and one is letting us shoot his personal CW9 before ordering for us.

I'm another whose wife carries the CW9 in her purse. I bought it for me, then she decided that she liked it more than her g26. So I replaced it with a 442, and now she's eyeing that. Do yourself a favor and get two kahrs.
