once in a while on the boards we see a topic on hottest 9mm. I know 9mm is a more common caliber which is loaded in many countries, being a nato round it helps. But i was wondering what kinda rounds do we have for the .45acp. are there loads from other countries that are hotter than the american loads. to what extents have the .45acp shells been pushed too. I personally love shooting hot rounds through my pistols. In my Glock 17, i try to shoot only nato spec ammo (124gr at around 1200-1300fps), and now ive gotten a glock 21sf, and im trying to find hot (non-hollowpoint) ammo, and try i out. all your feedback would be appreciated.

you could always try http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_34. looks like mike has a couple of spicy fmj rounds available.
i'd be fairly surprised if a foreign country was loading hot ball acp ammo. is acp even a prevalent cartridge abroad?

Try out the Double Tap 230 TMJ. They are warm. They also load a 230 flat point FMJ that is hot as well. Buffalo Bore also loads a +P 230 grain FMJ flat point.
230 grain HST +P seems pretty hot to me, at 960 FPS. I don't know what others are pushing their 230s to.

The lighter +P will do over a 1000fps easy. A 185 or 200 gr HP at a 1000+fps is nothing to mess with.
It is called 45Super or 45SMC. :)
I don't know where the dividing line is between ACP and Super, but if you push your ACP you will get Super.
As a rule, I find Fiocci 45 FMJ to be loaded pretty hot compared to WWB

Winchester Ranger T 230 grain +P
I recently put some GD 200g +P's through my G30 SF and was surprised at how downright unpleasant they were to shoot. Didn't chrono them but I was quite surprised. I even think the G30SF with the factory recoil spring setup was a bit undersprung for the round.
