View Full Version : [19C] 1125 rounds in a little less than a month of owning it!
Man, I love this little pistol! I bought mine on May 16th of this year. Each time I pull the trigger..I Swear a little giggle comes out! 1125 rds(assorted hp/fmj have all fail free fired!)have gone through it.Today was no exception. Due to ammo costs, I limit myself to 200 rds per session. Always fmj for plinking. This thing fires like no pistol I've owned and I've had a few. The closest that has come NEAR the little 19C is my beretta px4 for total reliability, accuracy and not ammo sensitive(any hp goes right through). The beretta is (to me) a bit of a honker, full size but does a fine job.
The definitely got it right when they compensated the 19!
Which for comparison...I had the chance to fire a non-comp'd 19 today. . right next to mine. I'll stick to the compensated version. If you hold on tight, your follow up shots can be LIGHTNING fast with deadly accuracy.
I'm going to the range Monday evening after work with a former co-worker.
Just wanted to share my MOST pleasant experience!
I'll say it once more. . "Why didn't I buy a Glock sooner?":supergrin::cool:

I don't think you sound happy enough,, might have to look into Compensating mine
I know the feeling. I fired 200 rnds yesterday myself. Stopped be Walmart on the way home today and bought 300 more rounds. Don't know when I'll shoot again. I just discovered Walmart ammo and I think I'll just stock up for awhile now that I have 2 mouths to feed.
19 is a sweet pistol.. I can't wait to get mine.. 5 days 4 hours 33mins & 13 seconds.

I have yet to shoot a compensated Glock. I would like to shoot, say a compensated and noncompensated Glock 17 side-by-side for comparison. Congrats!

Heheh, I too love my Compensated glock 19c.
Nothing like rapidfiring as fast as you can pull the trigegr and not be fighting muzzle rise and have your shots actually hit the same area you aimed for with the first shot.
With good self defense ammo it is NOT as 'blinding' as people think and say (even though they never tried it, just read it was) it is. Most good SD ammo uses low flash powder anyways. Only drawback is snapfiring it next to your body during a fast draw. You'll definitely be in pain as you're pulling burned powder residue out from under your arms.
I'll be getting a standard G19 barrel for CCW purposes I think and save the compensated barrel for range duty.

Save all your brass, buy a progeressive press, and then you can shoot 2250 rounds per month at the same cost!
:-)
i went to a members only type of indoor range tonight with some guys who we're with me since the beginning. got to fire all sorts of good stuff. .41 mags, .44, .357 snubby with MAJORLY hot re-loads. all of the guys had a chance to fire my beloved 19C. i even accidentally burned one guy to the left, and one to the right with whatever ejects from this thing! i put 360 rounds through it tonight. and like other times, they we're exactly where i wanted them to be and it ran w/o a hitch!! i absolutely LOVE this pistol!!! again, most we're fmj, but i had some hollow points too. rack the slide, click, bang, there's the shot just where you like it!
i have NEVER been so happy with a pistol!!!! "GLOCK PERFECTION" DAMN RIGHT!!!!!!!

i put two cases of ammunition over a course of 4 days through my G19 and had not one hiccup.
great gun. i don't buy all the crap about the plastic guide rod being inferior or the OEM barrel not being accurate/supported enough.
i did wish i had a LULA for pistols though
