Hello,
I just purchased a G 19 and notice that the magazines do not seat flush with the frame, I had a G 23 prior to this and do not recall that being the case.
Is there something wrong?
I have not been able to try it out yet but would like imput from you folks.
(I know I should have paid more attention at the store!)
Thanks

Hi there,
No, it does not stick out that much.
This is a new gun and the original magazine.
In looking around in here I have found pictures of other G19 that seem to have the same "problem", the base of the magazine is not flush with the bottom of the grip.
Funny thing is I have on hand a magazine from a first generation G19 and when I tried it in the new one it sat perfectly flush, is this progress? or is there a reason.

My G19 is new and the original mag has about an 1/8 of an inch gap between the bottom of the mag and the gun. My G26 is flush.

OK then I guess it's normal.
Although I do not like the looks of it, perhaps it makes it easier to seat the magazine or remove it.
Thanks

Yeap,
That is exactly what it looks like.
I will not worry about it as long as it feeds properly.
Still does anyone know why they fit them this way now?

Don't let it bug you. I looked at another G19 and it's the same way. It feeds flawlessly with WWB and American Eagle as well as my Speer HD ammo.

Got my G19 the 1st and when I was looking at it like 2 weeks ago I noticed the same thing!
It's fine!
Mine looks the exact same way. Never even thought about it until this thread. I love it just the way it is.
Mine look that way... never noticed it before, and will likely never notice it again... it feeds, shoots, and loads well.

There is no gap in my G19 with a 10rnd mag.

Yours is broke.......send it to me.
My 2+ year old original mags fit flush, but the new ones I just received have that same gap. The are just ever so slightly taller.
Normal for the new magazines. I have an old G-19 with three
older type magazines and they fit flush.

Ahmid,
Do you use the older magazines in the new gun?, are they reliable?
I have a first generation magazine that fits perfect, but I'm worried that perhaps the new style is needed for reliable operation.
Thanks
