I am heading to Corpus in a few weeks and was wondering if concealed carry is allowed at the Lexington. Has anyone been there and if so did you notice a 30.06 posting. My girlfriend wants to go to the state aquarium (which is not posted according to a TexasCHLforum member) so I said okay as long as we go to the Lexington also.
Thanks,
Ruben

PS: I also asked on the state thread

I did not see one when I went but I will call them if I were you since is a historic place it may belong to the federal government which might make it a federal institution or place.:dunno: Sorry can't help much, but I don't recall seeing one.

No 30.06, but not really sure what the property is classified as....I'd definately call them to ensure you stay within the law...

From the USS LEXINGTON web site (I googled it):

The USS LEXINGTON Museum on the Bay is a non-profit organization and receives no federal, state or local tax funding. Revenues necessary to maintain and operate the museum are derived from memberships, admissions, special events, Ship's Store sales and private grants.

I t looks like an independent 501(c)(3).
