View Full Version : Had to cut the Crossbreed
I`ve been trying for 4 months to get a comfortable carry fit with it and just could`nt . I thought about selling it here on GT, but could`nt bring myself to do it. Tonight I got out my drill and the Kershaw and went to work. I`ll post pics when I can get to it. The end result was what I`ve heard everyone talk about, great comfort and outstanding concealment. I wish I would have done it from the start but I did`nt want to screw it up and not even be able to sell it. Have there been any other GTers down this road? BTW it is for my 23.

I bought three Crossbreeds, two IWB and one OWB. They're fine holsters, no complaint in that department. But just like my C'Tac's and others, I still can't find a conventional holster that works for me. I tried trimming parts of my Supertuck with a knife, but never could get a reasonably comfortable fit, even with the Beltman belt. Excruciating back and hip pain after a few hours of wear either IWB or OWB.
I believe it's because I've got no hips and a bad back. So it's just me, not the holsters. I refuse to wear suspenders, although that option would probably fix things for me.
The only things I've found that work for me are, shoulder holsters, Smartcarry (worn as a belly band, not in the traditional position) 5.11 v-neck tee shirts (very hot in summer, itchy, and scratchy) and pocket carry with subcompacts.
I have one for my 26. I did some minor trimming to the leather below the clip screws and the bottom of the plastic belt clips. Works great now. The CrossBreed for my KelTec P11 needed no mods. Post a picture of yours.

My camera is fubr and we`ll have to buy a new one. I trimmed about 1'' in ferther than the pic shows and I re-drilled 2 holes. I also put a radical radius under the front clip. it looks vary different. Sorry for the lack of pics. Money is tight!!!!!
