I am interested in the Gold Dot Short Barrel ammo. What length is considered to classify a handgun as a short barrel?
I have a 26 and use DoubleTap Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P. If that won't do the job, you're out gunned! :wow:

i don't think there is an official category but i would consider anything less than 4" a short barrel.

If that is the case then I would say my Glocks, which range in barrel length from 3.78 - 4.02, would not have much of an impact using the Speer Short Barrel rds. So I will not bother with the short barrel rds.

The guy from Speer that designed it said " new bullet design, new
powder" Made for 4" BBLS or less. I use it in 37 SW. Ordered some
today for 45acp.

I run it in my S&W 642 (135 grain version). Winchester Ranger T 230 grain +P in my G30 and G36 for extra oomph from shorter barrels.
