Here's one of my favorite recipes. It's not difficult and in fact it's very filling. You can cook a lot of this at one time if you wanted.

What You'll Need:
Mushrooms (I prefer fresh, but I imagine you could use canned if you wanted)

Garlic (I buy the already crushed, but crushing it is not hard to do on your own)

Salt & Pepper

Onions (Sweet or bitter, it's up to you)

Swiss Cheese

Next you slice up the onions, crush the garlic and slice up the mushrooms so it looks like this:

After that you start to melt some butter in a frying pan so that you can sautee your veggies:

And of course, you cook the hamburgers:

When the veggies are down sautee'ing, they should look somewhat like this:

You want all of the flavors to kind of meld together in the pan so that you don't get one bite that's all onion, and the next one is all mushroom. Consistency of taste is our goal with sautee'ing them.

Once everything is finished, you put a hamburger patty with cheese on each side of the bun. Once you've done that, you turn off the heat on your veggies and place them in one hamburger or the other. This step should look like this:
