Bought my first AR today, DPMS AP4 16". Can't wait to fire off some rounds. Any suggestions on what accesories I should start with first?

Preferably Magpul PMags!
Red dot optic can wait till later after you've become proficient with the iron sights.

Yay! You'll love it! Accessories? Hmm. Magazines are #1. I am with CU4X4N on this one. Magpul Pmags all the way. I like the ones that have the ammo window on them. Even when you can't see the bullets (from shooting off more than half the mag), there is still an ammo counter visible. Trust me. Getting quality mags will be a great investment. Plus, Pmags are just tacticool to look at. ;)
After that, sling.
After that, light
After that, optic + folding iron sight
After that, folding front sight (if you want)
After that... You'll never be done. ;)
Congrats again.

Basically, what the others have mentioned. PMAGS (at least 5 to start) and ammo (1000 rds. minimum) are first priority. If you are not strapped for cash, look into getting a good BUIS and a red-dot sight (EOTech or Aimpoint).

keep it simple, when the time comes all those tactical lights, rails, scopes, etc...will just be added weight.
get a quality sling, lots of mags and LOTS of ammo.

My first AR also....first :whistling:
+ on the sling and magazines and add as much ammunition as you can afford, buy this stuff now while you can and while it is still in the realm of semi-affordable.
I almost forgot, get a Hoppe Bore Snake for quick cleaning and also buy a good one piece rod and chamber guide for serious deep cleaning.
Also buy a few of the M16/AR15 chamber brushes, solvent, oil, patches, all that good stuff.
M16 Bore and chamber brushes are 8-36 tpi and designed to fit on the military sectional cleaning rod.
AR15 bore and chamber brushes are 8-32 tpi and will fit on any standard commercial rod except Parker Hale.
You can mail order all this stuff from here;

My favorite mail order house for gun stuff.
Everything I was going to say has been said.
I bought the same rifle originally and it's been great. Enjoy!

Congrats! You're going to love it. Get some rounds downrange / learn thy firearm and the accessories you need will become self-evident (probably none). What you want is a different story.

It can.... depends on your AR. They can be picky with Wolf.
I'm of the belief that most rifles can shoot Wolf as long as you don't break them in (200-500 rounds) with Wolf.

I like the Brown bear better.Never any issues.
