Good sling for an AR15?

I am sure this topic has been beat to death here but I am new to the AR world and I need a good sling for it.

I bought a Rock River Varmint A4 20" from a friend and it has an inexpensive sling on it that is not intended for that kind of rifle.

I am not afraid to spend $ on a good one so please let me know what some of the best quality AR slings would be. I prefer the shoulder slings to some of the more "tactical" set ups I have seen.

I don't remember the proper name for it, but, I have a leather shooting sling on my AR.

It is the same type and style that can be found on the M1 Garand and/or M1A for shooting High Power Rifle competiton.

He's talking about the leather M1907 type sling.

Any of the padded/cobra style slings appears to be what you're looking for.
