I am probably getting a little two excited but I did finally find what I wanted after a week of driving around and making phone calls but I have one on order... a factory new Sig 229 in .357Sig with factory night sights. I never thought that it one would be that difficult to find. I have to go drop off my deposit on Saturday and from there it should take another week or two to get here so middle of July I will have my new gun. This will be my third Sig, I traded my other two because of personal vs functional issues (in addition to neither one being factory new). They just didn't suit my needs like I am hoping this one will.
Now the next question. Where is the best place to find inexpensive factory mags. I was looking online and found them for approx $40 on CTD.com, Botach has pissed me off customer service wise so even though they are $5 cheaper I won't be using them, anywhere else you guys(or gals) use reliably? Thanks in advance.
Try cdnn they might have some
Congrats. Great pistol, great cartridge.

Congrats, :needspics:
I will definately get some pics up but it won't be for a few more weeks since they have to order it for me. I guess it's the price I have to pay for wanting factory new. My last two were used and CPO and the just seemed worn out. The 226 was just to big to carry and conceal well/comfortably and the 2340 had an odd grip angle and I did not shoot it well. I have handled a 229 before (my father's ) and I like it so this should be a good fit. Not sure if it will see much carry, I might try it in an MTAC or similar. Anyone here carry one of these?

Some are... some aren't. Depends on the gun and the caliber. I have twelve Mec-Gar nickle 17 round 9mm mags for my 226 at $24.00 each.

At the time it was a little more than I was comfortable with carrying size wise. I understand that size and weight difference isn't much between the two but at the time the sale of a well worn 226 in 9mm to finance a G23 seemed to be the best choice. There wasn't much wrong with it. It had someone else's initials engraved on the trigger guard and wouldn't lock back 100% of the time on the last round. Oh, well... :dunno:

Here are the pics I promised. I couldn't find the wife's digital camera so the cell phone pics will have to suffice.
