I am not a Sig guy, have rented a few and liked them but that's about all I have to go on. I gave him the names of the usual suspects as far as good defensive loads and he did some homework and read that some have issues feeding (HST in particular) most people suggested trying stuff until you found a round that worked. Now I think that's fine, just very expensive. So I thought I would come to the great folks here at GT and see, I am sure someone here got in on the German police 225's cheap, and wonder has anyone had success with some ammo I can suggest to my friend to at least give the man a place to start. Ammo is expensive, especially ammo that ends up not working for you.
Thanks guys
Neat guns. I know some of the older Sigs didn't like 147gr...OAL was a hair much in some guns.
I'd just load 124gr +P Gold Dots, or the new 124gr Fed HST .
Oops, just read you post again, a safe bet would be the Fed 9BP load, has a rounder ogive that lends to good feeding in many older guns.
Gold Dots and HST's just like Berto said.

fmj or get a new barrel that's better for hp
If his feeds hollowpoints I'd recommend the Speer Gold Dot 124 grn +P. Thats what I carry. Both my P6's and P225 feed it ell.
