Is the M&P9 HARDER to Conceal than the Glock 19?

Hey all,

I looked at a S&W M&P9 Full size the other day and thought it was a pretty nice pistol. I looked at the specs and it is just a bit bigger than the Glock 19 which I own and use as a CCW piece. I know there are those that conceal the full size M&P9 instead of buying the 9 compact. So I am curious as to how much harder the M&P is to conceal than the Glock 19.

Does anyone own one of the FULL size 9mm M&P's that they use for CCW? I'd like to know how it does for you in terms of carrying and concealing. Does the added size and weight over the 19 cause you any headaches or aggravations?

What do you think about carrying the M&P9?

The M&P 9 is a great gun (I own one), but it is a little big for concealed carry (you can do it, but it is bulky). The G19 is also a great gun (I own one) and it is smaller and easier to conceal. The M&P 9c is great (own one) and is even smaller than the G19 and easier to conceal. I carry the 9c more than the glock these days!
All very accurate and reliable weapons!

I have an M&P9 and a G19. The M&P9 is similar in grip length and slide width to the G21. Whether or not it's harder to conceal really depends on how you carry, how you dress, and how you're built. I Appendix carry and have no problem carrying either gun under just a t-shirt.

Unfortunately, I only have pictures of the G19 because that's what I usually carry.

I have owned and carried both. The M&P is a bit harder to conceal. With a good belt and IWB holster, it conceals fine, but it is way more bulky than a Glock 19.
