Well, it's been awhile since I've been here...several months in fact (shame on me.) Since the Supreme Court has (finally) made a wonderful ruling today in regards to the D.C. ban, I figured today would be the perfect day to log back in.

I've been rather busy lately with school and work, but I also have made a decision that will change the course of my life forever...I've enlisted in the U.S. Air Force! I'll be going in for Security Forces, and thanks to some college, I'll be going in as an E-3. I ship-out for Basic on July 1st.

Before I go however, I'd like to post some pictures from my small (for now) "armory". I hope you enjoy. (Caution these pics are huge, so be patient on the load times.)

These are my "War Rifles". From top down: Mosin Nagant 91/30 made in 1942--Schmidt-Rubin K-31 made in 1943, the soldier's ID card was still intact--Mauser K-98 also made in 1943, was a Russian capture rifle--Mosin Nagant M44 carbine made in 1945--Steyr M95 made in 1903, the "old man" of my collection.

Well, that's it for now. Once I go through Basic and Tech School, I'll definetly be adding on to the "armory". I'll be gone for about 4-months, but this will defintely be the first site I log into when I get Internet access again. I'll talk to you guys later!

Very Nice collection.

Unless your are a real soldier showing a picture of yourself in uniform, your going to look silly taking a pic of yourself all camo and gear up holding a rifle. If your really interested, there are a lot of openings.

OP, is that a Chemical warfare suit under the vest? I hated them things we used to cut the charcoal liners out when using them for training. They have a new one out now called the J-list. More time in it then I care to recall. but no charcoal. No worries I am not going to make fun of you just curious..................Good luck in the service. Don't go into Security Forces on purpose if you want to have a life. Its called 6 months in 6 months out, screw that. Also if they offer you a job that has anything to do with Maintenance on a Aircraft run and I mean run like hell to the SF job. Unless you like to spend 14 hours a day up to your a.. in grease in all weather just to get to Friday night and find out you have to work another weekend............................

Wrong, unless you pull the rear pin and manually push the hammer down so it can go to safe, or pull the charging handle with no magazine in the magwell.
