View Full Version : Glaser PowR Ball ammo
what are your thoughts on the polymer ball tipped handgun ammo like the Glaser PowR balls?
Even though my guns are pretty good at feeding all types of ammo, I'm looking at these that would basically feed like a regular ball ammo but perform like a HP...
Are the Glaser's the only game in town when it comes to these types of polymer tipped handgun ammo?
Any good sources?

Glasers are the frag type bullet I belive their useless as do many others. Corbon is the Power R ball . These work fine if you pistol doesn't like HP but Most of todays newer pistols shoot HP fine I perfer the Corbon DPX copper HP
Corbon also owns Glaser.

CorBon Pow'RBall is, in essence, a convenional lead core JHP handgun bullet fitted with a Glaser Safety Slug polymer ball. (In case you didn't know, CorBon owns Glaser Safety Slug.)
Pow'R Ball bullet weights are light. The polymer ball delays expansion, which allows deeper penetration than one would normally expect with such light bullet weights.
Of all the CorBon/Glaser offerings the best loads are DPX.

Check out Federal EFMJ's (expanding full-metal jackets). I carry em in my G19
The links have good and bad experiences with them, but it is another option.
And one more note, if it's for 9mm, get the 124gr +p's, NOT the 105 gr.

www.ammoman.com or www.streichers.com are good places to order them.
