I ordered a:
Walnut stock K31 Swiss with troop ID tag:wow:
Laminated HEX receiver (very rare) Mosin Nagant 91/30:wow:
and
Yugo M24/47 8mm Mauser (Samco - NOT Century!)r:wow:
UPDATE: They have arrived!!! Please see post #13 below.....
I already have the beechwood stock K31 and a round receiver 91/30, but the walnut stock K31s are supposed to be more collectible, and the laminated hex receiver 91/30s are supposed to be very rare. Can't wait till they get here!

I have a C&R but I just can't work up much excitement over those guns. (I lean a little more toward the pre-64 model 70 Winchesters with my C&R)
I ran into several fellows at the range last summer that were in-love with the Swiss Rifle.
Everyone of the them, to a man, would not shut up. They swore they shot 1-inch groups with open sights after they cleaned off the grease.
One guy wouldn't let me go home until he had showed me how to completely disassemble and reassemble the bolt.
He had a hundred reasons why it is the best rifle..., ever..., in the whole world,,,. ever...
I decided right then if that is what happens to a guy when he buys one of those Swiss rifles, then I ain't gettin one.
Oh, by the way, be sure and let us know how you like that Swiss rifle.
Cool,
soo....hows your bank account holdin up:whistling:

I was talking to a guy at the last gun show about the K31. He said that it is a $200 gun that SHOULD COST $700.....or more!!! You may want to get one as an investment piece only, even if you never shoot it. I still haven't shot my beechwood K31 yet! Do some research on it and I bet you will have one by Nov.

GREAT!!! Just say..................
CHARGE IT!!!
The wife will never know.:whistling:
And where might you have found a deal on that 7.5x55mm ammo?

I don't claim that mine shoots 1 inch groups(it might with a scope and handloads, but that's still just a "might"), but I have shot 2 inch groups(100 yards) with GP11(surplus) and the factory irons--from sandbags. Surplus ammo is match grade and non corrosive. It's expensive(comparatively speaking), but worth it IMO.
These rifles truly are marvels of precision machining and craftsmanship, and probably the most accurate mil surp on the market. If they were produced today commercially, the cost would be at least $1k, and possibly more.

That's what I have been told!
I am hoping that they escalate in value once supplies have dried up. Not that I would ever sell them, but knowing that they are probably the most accurate bolt action ever produced is what keeps me buying!
I will post pics of the three rifles as soon as they get here, which should be Thursday or Friday.

The Yugo M24/47 8mm Mauser and the Laminated hex receiver 91/30 arrived as well, but this K31 steals the show!!!
(the 240 rounds of GP-11 also showed up today!)
Congrats on the new rifles, they are all fine choices especially the K31.

Congratulations on your purchases. As for ammunition the prices have gone crazy this last year. You could buy 7.5 Swiss ammo for $23 for 60 rounds. It's better to reload for all three rifles you just bought. Slug your 91/30 to make sure it's capable of firing .311 or .312 projectiles. Hornady now lists both 308 and 311 diameter bullets in their new manual.
When I reload for the K31 I try to duplicate the military ballistics in order for the iron sights to be in spec. If you plan on a scope then the sky is the limit.
I still have a lot of 8mm mauser surplus, but reloading really shows mauser accuracy.

I don't reload. Probably should but I just don't shoot often enough to justify the time and expense.
Maybe in the future after I retire.
