I heard about the 2 second version of the Assault weapons ban, that would ban Ak's, AR's etc. Its probably a good idea to stock up, so instead of buying expensive complete rifles, how about stripped lower receivers?
A new AWB, for that matter, ANY new anti-gun legislation, has now become MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more difficult for the anti's to enact -- and protect against legal challenges -- than it was before 10:12AM Eastern time this morning when the "Heller" decision was announced.
With the way this next election is shaping up, "Heller" maybe a major factor in saving our collective butts!
That and I think Congress remembers in 94 when they pass the AWB and we voted the Demo's out. I doubt they want to see that happen again.
Come on guys, an AWB after this Supreme Court ruling? I don't think that has a snowball in Hells chance.
It takes a really defective mentality to think that such a bizarre idea will pass muster after this court ruling. It would be overturned in a flash and as was said, the Democrats weren't interested before and to try this again would really make them look positively retarded. Don :upeyes:

Don't you think that the price pf uppers would then skyrocket?
I do.:whistling:
Ruling or no ruling, it can't hurt to stock up on things.

Stripped receivers did not count for AWB '94, it had to be a finished gun to be grandfathered. The next one will be tougher. Do not count on Heller protecting your rights.

Don't kid yourself!! The last one was done by "executive order", as will the next. (If Osama gets in)

I think other will agree...they will only retrieve mine from my dead hands!:steamed:
An executive order doesn't have a chance if it contramands a Supreme Court ruling. If the previous AWB was an executive order, it was done w/o the opposition of today's ruling.
I don't have any issue with people stocking up, it's always a wise idea but we're in far better condition than before today. Don
