Hello again! Anyone have experience shooting the Remington UMC 250 count "Value Pack".45ACP?
I saw this for the first time the other night when I was picking up the usual WWB .45 Auto and was curious if anybody else had shot it before. Would I be better off staying with the WWB?
In my experience UMC is dirtier than WWB, but other than that it shoots fine.
YMMV
Their .40 cal is a little dirtier than the WWB
I'd buy it over W if there was a price advantage...
MHO YMMV

I personally do not like the UMC line of ammo. I've had nothing but problems with it in the past. Of course, remington makes te awesome Golden Sabers and they also make amazing 00 buck and slugs for shotguns.

We used the UMC .223 for training and it shot ok, but it smoked alot. I guess we could've used the smoke for a screen.
UMC .45 is the only audible pop and bullet lodged in a barrel I have ever had from factory ammo in my old P220, but I would still shoot it if the price was right.
It has treated me just fine, plus I like how it smells!
They are good packs. Dirty yes, but no more so than Whinchester White box. Come to think of it they are both dirty ammo.

I have used tons of it in 9mm. It has always worked fine for me.
I will have to agree with the others about it being a little on the dirty side.

Lots of smoke. Other than that it was fine.

Yup...UMC is dirtier than WWB. I'm curious...is it cheaper? the only time I find UMC cheaper than WWB is when Dick's has the UMC on sale. And even then, it is only cheaper by a buck or two...

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Actually, the WWB 100 count runs about $30 per box vs. UMC 250 count for $81. So they're roughly the same price(UMC may actually be a tad higher per cartridge). Just a thought since I don't reload and don't wanna burn up too much gas running back and forth to Wally World. Maybe it's time to just start stocking up.
