View Full Version : New Kimber - showing off
I have been looking at one of these for a VERY long time... I found one that was technically "used" but still had the tag affixed (apparently, buyers remorse brought the guy back for his full refund, but it is no longer considered "new" once it leaves the building).
Anyway, I have a soft spot for 1911's, and have had several. Some I cherish, others were disappointing. This one, on looks alone, has me smiling. I'm hoping it performs as well as it is rumored to.

QNman- I was recently at Cabella's in Hazelwood, they had a couple very nice Kimber's that had the same story.
The guy at the counter said someone bought them then returned them for a different gun.....(much cheaper in price). I remember thinking thats strange why would you return a top shelf gun for a cheaper pistol.
by far my favorite kimber. some aluminum grips and it will be perfect!
Nice gun!
The Raptors are lookers fer sure!

That's where I got it!! I'm in there quite a bit and am friendly with Sam, Tom, Steve, and Wendy.... One of the newer guys told me with Sam's confirmation that this one was returned because he couldn't afford it (IOW he got it home and his wife said "uh-uh").

I'm VERY partial to the 4's... Just the right length, IMHO. I've never had a bushingless, so I'll let you know on that count.

Always been my favorite looker... I know what you mean about the grips, but I really like these... they set off the whole "scale" concept.

It's always best to get approval from high command before making a purchase like that.
They had some good looking camo desert tan Glocks too.

Wow, that's a fine lookin Kimber. I absolutely love the grips. They appear to represent the legs of a raptor, being scaled. Simply beautiful.
Oh I am jealous. That is one beautiful gun.
