Wasr-10 Magazine confusion.

Just bought a WASR-10 at the gun show. Came with one mag so I bought a second Bulgarian 30 at the next table. It comes no where close to fitting and close inspection reveals several major diffrences. So looking at my poor photo here, did I get and bad WASR with one bad mag, a bad Bulg. mag, or is this a mag to a different animal?:headscratch:

wasr 10 are designed to hold 10 round mags.

you might be able to pull something off with a file.

i own one that does take some other mags but not all.

The one it came with is 30 rounds, but metal. The plastic one is just bigger in a aspects and the little notch on the back is different. Maybe a mismarked Saiga hi-cap?

wasr 10 are designed to hold 10 round mags.

The ones being sold now are milled out to accept double stack magazines.

From the pictures it looks quite bigger overall compared to the metal one and has an odd looking follower. Could be a different magazine I'm sure you didn't pay much for it so just get yourself some east european mags.

I stick with the east european mags for my WASR and they fit just fine.

Looks like it's a problematic magazine for the Romanians.
