Any body have any experience with Winchester's 357 Sig Personal Protection line (USA357SJHP). Just curious how it handles recoil and accuracy wise. I plan on using this as the control portion of my experiment when I start reloading. Is this a decent round to compare with. Also have some Win. White box too.

None of the stores in my area ever have it in .357Sig, but I've shot the hell out of the .40 and .45 stuff, and its pretty darned good. I'd bet the .357Sig is good stuff to.

Is this the "white box" personal protection ammo?
didn't know they made it in .357Sig. Where did you purchase it?

Pont,

I do recall seeing it one time(I think at Galyans), but not being in clear enough thought to buy it. I've not seen it since. According to Winchesters' Website, they sell it in the 125gr flavor, no data is available on it as of yet, on Winchesters' site that is.

I beleive he's indeed talking about the "white box" personal defense loads. They feed and function fine out of my G32 (It's a Glock for christs sake!! duh ;f) as practice ammo. Recoil is managable and accuracy seems adequate for a defense round. I prefer Speer 125gr Gold Dots for defensive .357Sig rounds though.

Pont,

I got it at a local gun shop(Bradis, SW side of Indy). The Per. Protection line was $17.99 and the reg White Box was $27.99 per 100rds.

God, I can't wait to reload just due to cost. Factory ammo is expensive.

Bradis carries it? Hmm, I must have missed it.

They have it along the back wall with most of the Premium stuff. They have the bulk pack fmj's and plinker's out in the open. Just ask whoever is behind the counter what they have in. It's a toss up from day to day and some things are well hidden. They are adding on to the store to open it more and make everything more accessable. There is even talk about an indoor range possibly in the future.

I just picked up some about 2 weeks ago at a local indoor range, seemed to shoot OK. Curious to see some real test data on it.
