I just picked up a CZ 75B in Stainless. I really like this gun. Any other CZ owners out there? Any thoughts, advice, or experience with the CZ 75's. I am looking for newbie tips and tricks.
NO! I did not get rid of my Glocks. I still love my Glocks. Don't even need to compare them. Just adding a little something different to the collection.
The CZ75 is a great pistol,
it is very accurate and has a very comfortable grip.
I haven't own any CZ yet, but are looking into getting a 75BD or sp-01. I have shot 75BD and 75B a few times and love it. Beautiful look and the bast grip I ever hold. Only think I don't like was because I get use to shooting Glock so when recoil kick in, it felt a bit light on top for me. I'm looking for a shooting range that rent a sp-01. I hear sp-01's thicker slide help for shooters like me.

It is on my top four list of pistol ever made.

I'm strongly considering a p-01 for CCW. I've been having difficulty shooting my G26 after about a year of owning it, and I"m not gonna carry something I can't shoot straight. I just don't think it fits my hands that well, and frankly, I'm kind of bored of GLOCKs.

I've got two,
a 40B

and a pre-B 75.

Both great pistols.
My only knock on them is they're a pain in the butt to detail stripped.
I really want a compact model.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you give for the stainless?

I have an 85 Combat, which underneath is essentially the same handgun. At first, the slide would just barely cycle completely, and the empties would just barely clear the pistol and land on my forearm. It would also have an occasional FTE too. I guess I could have cut a bit off of the recoil spring, but instead I ordered a new Wolff spring that is a few pounds lighter. The 85 now functions perfectly, and throws the empty casings like any other 9mm.
I don't know if the inherent accuracy of my 85 is any better than my many other centerfire auto's, but I do know that in my hands it is the most accurate. It puts a smile on the face of everyone who has ever used it....

I have 2, they are 2nd only to Glocks.

$550.00
I had a mint CZ75 B that I should have never sold. I could bearly reach the trigger in double action mode and it was a little on the heavy side..Other than that I really liked it...I sold it during my GLOCK build up time frame..Now I have a pile of Glocks I'm missing the CZ75B

It will be my next purchase. I missed a used one on gunbroker with about 200 rounds through it for $400 a few months back.....I can kick myself for that one.
I had a 75 compact and I do miss it. I did end up with a Sig 228 out of the deal. Cz is just an amazing gun for sure. I rank it right behind Sig as the best of the non-polymers.

I remember back in the 1980's seeing serveral "pre B" models in the pawn shops around Ft. Mc Clellan Ala. They were bought in the Gun and Rod Clubs in W. Germany and brought to the US by GI's. Most times they were LNIB for about $225 - $250. They biggest problem was no magazines were avalibe in US. Czech. was still a communist country and the 1968 import was still in effect. And God help you if you broke a part, because there wasn't any extra.
Now I wished I had bought every one of them I could have found.:crying:

I don't know if I qualify as a "fan," but I like my CZ 27. I just replaced the extractor pin in it, and it runs like a sewing machine now...

I've got a CZ P-01 and love it...
It currently is my "end all, be all" Handgun. This gun is perfect for the "One Handgun" owner.

I have one of those end all-be allguns... it is G19. I have compared the two and they are about the same size.
The CZ 75 design is also used by others, two of which are Sphinx from Switzerland and Tanfoglio Witness from Italy. The CZ 75 design is awesome. :)

I just hope the CZ uses different internals than the EAA. My local gun dealer has indicated that they do. I have personally see multiple failures with EAA's, especially those chambered in 10mm, snapping the firing pin. I have witnessed a slam fire with a EAA Wonder 10. I also had a buddy hand me his EAA Witness 10mm that he was carrying as a daily carry gun. I wanted to check it out. I ejected the magazine, then removed the round in the chamber, clearing the gun. As I was looking at it, I noticed that the round that I had just ejected out of chamber had a very prominent dent in the primer from the firing pin. The pin had frozen, and when he chambered the round, it rode into battery with the pin on the primer. God, that could have been real bad!!!
I am wondering how similar the internals are?

I really like the CZs'. They feel great and I find my manual of arms with 1911s' easily translate to the CZs'. It easy for me to imagine how the late Col. Cooper felt when he first handled one and I mean that in a humble way.
Are the 75s modeled after the Hi Power? I've been thinking about getting one, but as usual you guys have made the decison that much more frustrating for me.:wavey:
I was an incorrigible revolver owner, even though I've been able to shoot a sample of virtually every popular semi-auto. Then a CZ75 came my way and most of my revolvers got sold. I'm now up to seven CZ75 models.
For combined ergonomics, trigger pull (cocked and locked), reliability, accuracy,
looks, and price, you can't beat them. No centerfire handgun is easier to shoot well.
I'm not sure exactly which one it was but I shot my buddies full sized CZ .45 last time we were at the range. I was very impressed with how soft it shot and it never had a jam or anything.
I'm thinking next time I'm looking for a pistol I might get a full sized CZ 9mm if they make them.

Cz is a great pistol. My P-01 is a great all around 9mm.
