So I purchased a S&W 340PD. It's a blast to shoot and I have practiced loading it many different ways. Speedloaders are nice but a tad bulky to carry and speed strips are slim but not as fast.
I've been looking around at moon clips and half-moon clips. It appears that I would have to send the cylinder in to get machined to accept these, but that I would still be able to load the rounds individually if I would like to.
My question is: Does it sound like it would be easier to carry this method making loading times even faster than a speed loader? Yet I would still have the option of using speed strips. Moon clips would take up less room than a speed loader and allow faster reloads. This is a BUG for me on duty and trying to find a better method for reloads. Is the cost of getting the cylinder machined worth it?
Thanks for any help in advance.
