I am wanting another Colt pretty bad, but am I making the right decision to trade my Series I Kimber Classic Custom? This gun has been flawless, but the other is a Colt.:dunno:

I guess it would depend on the Colt but those Series one Kimbers are getting harder to come by and more desirable.

I would trade my Kimber for a Colt in a min. But mine isn't a series one. That does make it harder

Only Colt 45 I want is the one I carried in Viet-Nam/ Cambodia :crying:

I know this does not directly answer your question, but why don't you keep the Kimber and save for the Colt. I'd hate for you to get rid of a gun that you know to be dependable for one that you don't know yet. After you've shot them side by side if you feel like you want to get rid of one...well, so be it.

Which Colt?
It was a plain jane Series 80. I don't think I can give up my Series I Kimber for that. I guess my Combat Elite will have to keep my wanting at bay for a while longer.

I wouldn't give up my series 1 for anything short of a one off custom

Any Series I is a keeper. Don't do it. Besides, I'm generally against selling/trading guns.
If you want a Colt, start saving your pennies.
Not even if it was engraved and embellished with gold, platinum, and exotic gems...
Why have a Colt when you can have a Kimber? Particularly Series 1???
See not even therapy can help some people... (LOL)
HTH
you cant jsut save up and buy it?
try eating Top Romon and rice for a month or two:supergrin:

Good advice. Just doesn't make sense to get rid of a good working 1911 for another 1911 that is a bit of an unknown quantity.
