I bought my Kid some "ammo" for his nerf gun that shoots them foam darts.
$3.97 for 8 foam darts (they do glow in the dark though). That is EXPENSIVE for 8 rounds! I bought 200 real rounds for $36.84.
I guess real ammo prices aint that bad. Less than an hour outside and he already lost two, oh well........

Well, the gun's a lot cheaper so they have to get you on the ammo price. ;)

Even crazier was I went to the gunstore tonight. My favorite carry ammo was $3.00 less a box and ball ammo was down $1.00 a box! 40 and 45 prices were the same. The wife TOLD ME to get more ammo while I could get it cheaper!!
Now I have 600 rounds to shoot this weekend, sure am glad to be a loyal 9x19 fan, it is paying off
:tongueout:
I went from a G21 for IDPA to a G17, because the .45 ammo got to expensive.

Yes I have found I enjoy shooting a lot more when I don't spend a car payment shooting for a few hours on the weekend. Of course reloading is going to take some of the bite out of the wallet but I will essentially be paying myself to make ammo...
+1 for the 9mm!

Agreed.
9mm is not my prefered caliber but it is cheap(er) to shoot. period.
I don't lose a wink of sleep over carrying it for self defense either.
Of course that could be because my BUG is a .44
