hey
what's everyone think about the 45 gap? How's that compare to 45acp in regard to recoil and such?:dunno:
I've never fired the GAP, but it gives .45 ACP performance out the barrel, recoil should be about the same on the other end.
Unless of course the gun is lighter.

With comparable ammo in same-sized Glocks, the recoil is about the same. Since GAP Glocks have less backstrap surface area, the recoil impacts a slightly smaller area of one's palm. This might be noticed by some shooters as a little more recoil.
The .45 GAP is an excellent cartridge and the GAP Glocks are excellent firearms.

No experience with one yet, but from reading older threads, it seems the general concensus is that the recoil is more than the 9mm, maybe equal but different to the .40. People have said the .40 is more of a snap (muzzle flip), where the GAP pushes straight back, some have opined the GAP has a bit more recoil than the ACP .45s, but IDK for sure.
