hey i was just at my local wal-mart and they have Remington 9mm jhp UMC box of 100 for $22.00 can any one tell me if these are any good or not :dunno: thanks
Thats a pretty good price for 100rds of JHP. They are a mid level SD round similar to WWB JHPs. Hell, I'd buy a couple boxes just for backup SD ammo at that price.

I've been carrying the 147 subs for a while in my MK9. They cycle fine, are accurate and were cheap to shoot and they do expand well.
Locally they have gone up to over 40 cents a round so I bought 150 Double Tap Gold Dot 124 +p to test for reliability and wet pack expansion, before I make up my mind on a new SD round. My Kahr has a very short barrel and I don't want any surprises.
9mm HST 124 and 147 can be had for a good price now too.
In my research here, I decided to go to a premium round for SD and not look back.
Good prices are available at http://ammunitiontogo.com/ and other places too.

sorry i always forget about the Search function on here
Not bad, old bullet design, I carried those for awhile right after AIT before I got some more premium bullets. If you can get some premium JHPs later to replace them it would be an improvement, but the Remingtons you've got are definitely fine.

While I do not like 115s, I did do some testing back in the mid 90s with these rounds. Of the 115s I did fire that were standard psi, these and the federal standard 115s did very well. By testing I mean killing critters on the farm. For some reason the Winchester 115s gave better expansion (wider) but lacked penetration and killing results (not power).
I say buy some and see if you gun likes 'em, if it does and you are happy with them then go for it....
