That's just screwy... atmospheric pressure is kPa... when it's not in mercury...
And what is it relative TO on that setting?

Hectopascals (hPa) are the common units of mesurement for air pressure in the International System of mesurments
Inches of Mercury is the common unit of mesurements in the US
Absolute pressure is is the actual pressure on the barometer without regards to the altitude
Relative pressure is the same as barometrtic pressure. The calculation of relative pressure is a combination of the absolute pressure and the altitude.
This allows to compare air pressure all over the country with out relevanz of the altitude.
I don't remember ever using hecto- anything. And all the times I've ever used metric I've used kPa, whether for "Hg or psi... Pa if I'd otherwise be using "H2O.
