The wife is helping a friend and the kids are on nap time so I sat down and did some reading.
It seems sub gun ammo is not unsafe to use in pistols. psi is not too high or unsafe

"While "SMG Only" ammunition may be unpleasant to shoot in pistols because of its muzzle blast it is safe to use in any modern pistol chambered for the 9 x 19 mm. "

I 've heard that sub ammo can also have harder primers depending on make. Someone know for sure?

Years ago I got a case cheap.
It worked in a surplus 9mm blow back.
But it blew the grips off a friends browning.
I have read of the L7A1 (I think) and I know that my HK USP9 manual specifically okays the use of +P+ 9mm but not Submachinegun ammo. I will go with their recomendation.
I shot some Uzi ammo with a friiend this week, and it really didn't seem that hot.
I do however have some L7A1, and I'm tempted to try a few rounds in spite of the BATF warnings. CTD sold countless thousands of these rounds, and I'm sure it got shot by the unwary without any problems.
The Brits must have shot this stuff through their 50 year old High Powers, I don't see them having one brand of 9mm for their Sterling SMGs and another for their pistols.
