Pulling the rest of the glass out of my feet...

Any tips? It's starting to surface and hurts like a mufker, but the docs don't want to do anything about it...Say it's not worth the risk....I've been making small cuts and squeezing the pieces out or digging them out with tweezers...Short of butchering my foot, is there an easier way?
