I PMed a fellow GTer yesterday and used a malapropism. He wrote back to be certain I had done it deliberately and I replied I was having a Norm Crosby moment. Fellow GTer remarked that the reference to Norm showed my age.

Speaking of showing your age, minutes later I was channel surfing and caught a scene from Mel Brook's History of the World, Part I featuring Charlie Callas. I hadn't seen or thought of him in forever so I Dogpiled his name (I don't google) to catch up on old times.

First I found this (http://ozonetv.wordpress.com/2007/07/10/captain-weird/) video. If you're unacquainted with his work, I can't think of a more fitting introduction.

One of the other Dogpile hits sent me to his homepage (http://www.charliecallas.com/). It seems that Captain Weird is alive and well.

They say the difference between comedians and comics is that a comedian says funny things but a comic says things funny. This man is a master comic in the truest sense of the word.
