For the Dan Wesson Pointman 7:
1) What brand are the included magazines?
2) How many rounds?
3) How reliable (in general)?

Thanks.

My 10mm C-Bob and Razorback came with Checkmate 9 rounders. I assume a PM7 10 would, too. No idea on .45s. Haven't used 'em enough to comment on reliability.

Did some research and found out the same. Checkmates are the current mags, previously they were metalforms. Guess I'll have to schedule a range trip to find out how well the new mags work.

AFAIK, the Dan Wesson CBOB mags are 8 rounders, not 9. Not that they would be good/better but I wonder if the Kimber mags would work?

I use my Colt mags in my Bobtail See no reason to bob tail gun to conceal better then put a bumper on the mag . Conceals better with flat bottom mag. I also only carry 7 round mags.

The 10mm PM7 comes with a single 8-round Checkmate mag.

Both my Razorback and Bobtail came with flat bottomed 9 round Checkmates.

My Eclipse II came with a Metalform 8 rounder. So far as I can tell they all work in any of the guns.

The DW website (CBOB) has 8 rounds listed:

Click 10mm from the drop down menu for the second link.

Are you including the one in the chamber? It seems tight to get 9 in there, especially when you can swapout the Kimber 8 rounders.

Dunno. #9 is a tad snug, but by no means severe. It feeds the 9th round fine. There's still some give left with 9 rounds in the tube, it's a bit of an effort to pop it in a closed gun, but it doesn't ding the hell out of the round to do it.

I don't know who made the 2 mags I got with My Bobtail Commander. They are blued and have the DW logo on the side. They really don't look that great. I've relgated them to range use. I use the new Wilson Combat Elite Tactical mags and the Kimber Pro Tac mags with great result for carry.
