Just a few weeks ago it was nearing $15 a box. Thanks for the tip. I've got to go there tonight, I'll check it out. JoshuaC 07-08-2008, 19:53 If it weren't for a huge storm blowing in I'd of gone to grab some. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up about 250 rounds of the stuff. Joeywhat 07-08-2008, 19:56 Cheaper by me to just grab a 100 round box. JoshuaC 07-08-2008, 19:59 Cheaper by me to just grab a 100 round box. How much are you paying per 100? Joeywhat 07-08-2008, 19:59 $18.xx...I think it's $18.40, not exactly sure. Glock Yourself 07-08-2008, 21:23 $18.xx...I think it's $18.40, not exactly sure. The WW near me (West Texas) is $18 something also. sbeduckman1 07-08-2008, 21:40 18 and change here too for the 100 pack. (KS) RandomBrownGuy 07-08-2008, 21:44 Walmarts here are $18.xx for the WWB as well. They also seem to have alot of Blazer Brass for $8.97 for a box of 50. slapahoe 07-08-2008, 21:47 They also seem to have alot of Blazer Brass for $8.97 for a box of 50. Same thing here, all day long. Joeywhat 07-08-2008, 21:56 Same thing here, all day long. haven't noticed that...last I checked it was in the $9 range, but that was a few months ago. I'll have to stock up if it is. carbofan21 07-08-2008, 22:00 blazer brass is good stuff kensteele 07-08-2008, 22:31 so is this really a good price for wwb, is this a new price for walmart? on my local shelves they are pretty stocked with 100ct boxes, seems to be when the price gets good, those boxes are all but gone. what's up? While I don't mind feeding my AK nasty ammo, it won't touch my handguns. Most the Wal-Marts by me have at least a few of the hundred boxes. Sometimes they'll have 20+. vqv123 07-10-2008, 01:14 i got mine at walmart in CA for 18.40 as well. i grabed 5 boxes =P. there was still alot left. i guess no one buys ammo at wal mart in the OC? babietuan323 07-10-2008, 01:53 $18.62 for wwb 100count here in southeast texas NotSoFast 07-10-2008, 02:27 WWB 100 count has been $18.62 at my local WalMart in Northern California for a couple of months now. McGAP 07-10-2008, 03:07 $18.48 up here in Minnesota. I grabbed 10-100 boxes today, and also hit the local gun shop for reloading supplies. I figure I'll shoot the 1,000 rounds and then start reloading 9 mm (I currently load .45 ACP and have been holding off on making the 9 mm leap). By my calculations it's now cheaper by $2/100 rounds to reload the 9 mm. Heck, it's something to do during our 8 months of winter anyway!!!!! :crying: AWMP 07-10-2008, 06:47 I thought it would be much cheaper than that to reload 9mm, especially since you already have the brass. He said they were just clearing out what they had left. I believed him because the last time I was there, they had no WWB 9mm, .45, or .40. I guess I'll have to go see for myself. McGAP 07-10-2008, 13:54 I thought it would be much cheaper than that to reload 9mm, especially since you already have the brass. How much cheaper is it to reload 45acp? 9mm = $16.60/100 .45 ACP = $19.60/100 which is a considerable savings over store bought factory ammo. However, I reload jacketed bullets (which are roughly twice the cost of lead). If one was to delve into using lead bullets it would come out to roughly $9 for 9 mm and $12 for .45 ACP (depending upon the brand of bullet). I'm considering a switch to lead, but I have to research a bit more before I make the jump. Some argue that reloading isn't worth the time spent (from a financial viewpoint), but I find it enjoyable making my own ammo. If one has the time to expend some energy researching the process, and stay focused while doing so, it can be quite fun. The link below is a cost calculator that evaluates reloading costs based upon component prices. http://www.handloads.com/calc/loadingCosts.asp gman1253 07-11-2008, 05:45 I'll have to check WW today, but CCI (not blazer) is cheaper by a few cents, otherwise, WWB was 18.47 for 100 last week. They have not had any HP's in a bout a month though. Thanks- tripton 07-12-2008, 16:55 Just checked the local(ish) Wal-Mart and they have raised the 100 round WWB to $19.97, up from the $18.xx. Seems like yesterday when they were $14.xx, and that seemed high at the time. :wow: Jefs 07-12-2008, 19:54 Just checked the local(ish) Wal-Mart and they have raised the 100 round WWB to $19.97, up from the $18.xx. Seems like yesterday when they were $14.xx, and that seemed high at the time. :wow: I saw $19.97 today at my Wal-Mart. It was the first time I'd checked ammo prices there in quite a while and all I can say is, 'Yikes - sticker shock.' I haven't been shooting very much lately and, luckily, I'm pretty well stocked in several calibers. For 9mm I usually buy my Blazer or Blazer Brass from Natchez, though and I see Blazer is $7.99 for 50. Last time I bought I believe it was $4.99. slickjohn 07-12-2008, 20:55 Sticker shock is right...I needed to break in my XDm and 100 rds .40WWB 28.00$ per box at El Paso walmarts. Jeez seems like yesterday it was around 18$ Frost 07-13-2008, 10:03 It wasn't all that long ago that WW white box 100's were less than $10. What are y'all paying for 45acp white box now? glock2740 07-14-2008, 09:59 You can get a box of 250 9mm Remington 115gr. FMJ for $48 and some change everyday at Wal-Mart. Big yellow box. kensteele 07-14-2008, 18:44 You can get a box of 250 9mm Remington 115gr. FMJ for $48 and some change everyday at Wal-Mart. Big yellow box. worse 9mm ammo ever. McGAP 07-14-2008, 19:06 worse 9mm ammo ever. :agree: I bought a 250-pack once, never again. I've had 8 Glocks over the years and that's the only time I've ever had a FTF (aside from my early days of reloading). RLDS45S 07-14-2008, 19:36 I consider brass free when reloading.......especially handgun ammo.... A person can load led 9mm for about 80 per k, and kicking up to Montana Gold 115gr bullets bought in 4K lots the price hovers at 100 per k....using wolf primers and TG for powder.... and a person can do lead 45ACP for 110 per k and using MG jackets the cost run about 160 per K...... The cost per round is significant....a person has maximize things by buying in bulk.......and scrounging range brass! glock2740 07-14-2008, 21:06 worse 9mm ammo ever. Well my G19 eats it like candy and is as accurate shooting that "crap" as anything else I put in it. Maybe I'm lucky and got a good gun. I also have a G27,G30,M&P9,M&P40,XD45 and a Norinco 1911 45ACP that have never gave me a lick of problems with any of that ammo. Not that I think it's the best ammo in the world, but I know a bargain when I see it. And, it ain't Wolf ammo. There's some pure crap. kensteele 07-14-2008, 22:06 ^yep, wolf, too. the early stuff ruined one of my guns. :steamed: revel8 07-14-2008, 22:10 18.47 per 100 WWB here. shoots pretty well i think. federal JHP hydra-shok for carry though Vigilance 07-15-2008, 14:24 Just checked the local(ish) Wal-Mart and they have raised the 100 round WWB to $19.97, up from the $18.xx.
