View Full Version : 127+p+ For The PM9
I know it sounds kind of trivial but I don't want to deal with the hassle of two kinds of ammo for my G19 and the PM9. I like the 127+p+ for the Glock but will the PM9 handle 50-100 rounds of this to insure reliability. Or, should I just go with the GD 124+p for both. I know the GD is a great round too.

IMHO:
The 124 +P is more than enough for the PM9, and great for the G19.
- Shoot 100 rounds through that Kahr, in one session, and you'll know what I mean. ;)
I'm too lazy to dig mine out, but what does the owner's manual say about +P+ ammo? If it doesn't answer your question, I'd contact Kahr and ask them directly.

Kahr does not recommend nor will they stand behind their PM series using +P+ ammo.

yep, that's why i recommend +p ammo. not many of the manufacturers will endourse the +p+ ammo and while i wouldn't shoot it regularly, i don't exclude it either.

Kahr does not recommend +p ammo. Their pistols are good for only 5,000
rounds +/-. I sold my P9 Covert, it started getting picky with Win. SilverTips.
Get a G26. I shoot it just as well as my G19, and it will take just about anything.

I hadn't heard that. Source?
Only pistol with an expected lifespan I've ever heard of was the old Sigma .380 from the early 90's.

when you hear those lifespan numbers, you can probably get double that in the real world.

Go with the Gold Dot 124-grain +P JHP if it's a only a choice between the two rounds. Much better than Winchester ammo of any kind.

That 5000 round Kahr lifespan rumor originated from an erroneous magazine article about a year and half ago. It's just a myth.

I use Speer 124 gr +P Gold Dot in both my G19 and PM9.
