My daughter's summer school is right up the road from one of the gun stores I have been frequenting for nearly a decade. This afternoon, I picked her up, and since we had 15 minutes to waste before a dinner date with my wife, I decided to drop in, "just to look".:dunno:
I ended up putting $200 down on a 4" S&W 66-1. Indiana State Police trade in, with the seal on the right side plate. Pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, and completely spotless. Grips are black rubber Pachmayers, which I don't really like and will probably dump shortly, but the revolver is in excellent shape overall. Nice, tight lockup too.
Pics coming next week when I pick her up. I just put down a deposit today because I have been thinking about cleaning out the safe a little and trading something in.
