View Full Version : Does anyone still make diverters for buckshot?
Just curious. I read that the SEALS used them on Ithaca model 37's in Viet Nam. They spread out the #4 buck horizontally.

I've heard they worked great or didn't do much.
Since nobody appears to make them anymore, I'm betting the second one was true.
Somebody is making one.
I'll see if I can dig up the info.

Correctamundo. I thought I had the contact info in my bookmarks, but can't find it.
Try Googling "A&W Diverter" (the original makers of this, back in the 1960's) and see if that takes you anywhere.

Are you guys talking about a duckbill? I googled that and found a bunch of internet discussions but on one making one.
Yes, they were called duck bills.

Yes, they were called duck bills.
The official name of the diverters used in Vietnam was "A&W Diverters". They may have colloquially been known as "duck bills".
