looking at baer's website, it looks to me that pistols such as monolith and premier 2's are "tuned for total reliability" and the trs is not.
anybody know what "tuned" means and why the trs is not?
I think all Baer pistol should be "tuned", it probably just did mention it on the TRS specification. The word "tuned" should mean the gun has been work on where ever it needs to make it reliable and function without a problem.
The TRS is "tuned" just like the others, don't worry.

When I went to my dealers to pick my TRS he tried to rack the slide and couldn't because it was so tight. I thought it was going to be interesting to see how reliable it was. When I got home I put a couple patches down the barrel and ran 200 rounds through it without a single malfunction. I have a little less than 1000 rounds through it now and still no FTF/FTE. It just keeps getting smoother and smoother every round I shoot.

Yep, that's a Baer. My PII did the same thing...............
Yeah, Baers are some of the tightest 1911s on the market.
RRA makes some extremely tight models also.
Ditto with my Baer Commander as well, it was so tight it had me worried, but it just gets better with time.
