My Kimber Covert has frontstrap checkering and this is the first pistol I ever owned with frontstrap checkering. Tonight at the NRA banquet there was a Kimber Warrior up for auction and I picked it up to look at it, in the very short time I have had my Covert it just didn't feel right to not have frontstrap checkering. I'm hooked for sure:thumbsup:

I like 30 myself. Not a fan of 20 at all.
On a lark, I bought a http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=531042&t=11082005
I figured at only $10 it was worth a try.
It's actually pretty good. It fits decent, and it's grippy. It may turn out to be a little harsh, it pretty much a cheese grater. Have to see how it goes, though.

I used to feel that way, until I got my Springfield TRP and got used to it. Now I have a few 1911s with 20lpi, including two of my best.

I like checkering also.I like the 20 LPI the best because it grips my hand really good and if I shoot enough I can draw blood.
