I recently bought some Sevigny Carry sights, but I'm having issues with the front Trijicon. The dealer from whom I bought them is going to help me get it resolved, but he hadn't heard of this issue so I wanted to get some input from others.
The problem is that the retention screw for the front sight is contacting the barrel, preventing any sort of operation. When the gun is reassembled, the front of the barrel and the guide rod stick out the front by about 1/2". The slide does not go back all the way on the frame (by about the same amount). Removing the sight screw solves the problem, and replacing it causes it to occur again.
You can see a picture of the slide with the screw mounted here (http://images.picklematrix.org/sevigny0000.jpg).
Now, I can possibly file that head down to fix the clearance issues, but I would hope that's a last resort. I found some reference (http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=887975) to the fact that the screw does typically need to be filed down for the G36, but that Trijicon has an appropriate screw for it. Is there any validity to that?
