Any of you have one of these? They look pretty good but would like to hear from someone who was one.

Mine would not cycle some old (17 year old) Federal 3 inch magnum 00 and #1 buckshot loads but I bought some new remington 3 inch mag slugs and it cycled them reliably. It does reliably cycle various 2&3/4 in loads (buck shot, bird shot, slugs.)

Bought one yesterday. Took it off the shelf and fired 100 rounds of federal (bought in china mart for $20)through it without cleaning it before and it preformed without flaw.

Everything I've read about the SPX is favorable. I'm probably going to be picking one up soon to use for gungames.

I don't think you could get into 3-gun shotgun any cheaper than this.

Is that a 930 combo with a 18 inch barrel and a choate mag extension/clamp?

Looks like a good setup.

I'm not favorable of the fiber optic front sight of the 930.

Things to look out for if you get to look one over before you buy it.

These problems are not very common but they do show up on a few guns.

The two front scope base screws can be stripped out from the factory. The receiver is aluminum and thin in that area and if the screws are over tightened the threads can be stripped out.

Front sight tower can be canted.

Some have problems with low cost shells sticking in the chamber. I had this problem with mine. I polished the chamber well and it went away.

The forend is a little loose on some guns. I added a 590 sling plate to mine and drilled a small hole in the plastic forend for the detent ball and that tightened it up and provided a good sling attachment.

Mossberg don't pack their guns very well so some will have minor scratches and finish rubs.

Here is my SPX. I added the following

Vang Oversize safety
GUN CONNECTION oversize bolt handle, The NOB
UTG 500 scope base it is longer and fits better. The factory screws engage more threads.
Barrel tapped for choke tubes and 4" extended cone
Colonial Arms extended knurled Modified choke tube
870 Polymer heat shield
GG&G 590 sling plate
Falcon low profile rail cover
Forend trimmed to clear up space around the loadind port.

Mine is broke in and will cycle most anything I put in it, except very light loads. I am very pleased with it.

I make the 930 oversize bolt handles called The NOB (New Oversize Bolt handle) G C 930 BOLT Handle made of steel and heat treated to last

The Vang 500/590 safety also fits the 930

GG&G 590 sling plate also fits th 930

870 John Masen heat shield also fits the 930. Some like a heat shield some don't

Brand new 930 SPX. A week ago I took it out for the first time. I had several failures to eject with various loads, including Federal Tactical slug and buckshot, and cheap Winchester shot. It finally jammed completely with the Winchester load. I had to wait for it to cool down before I could free it. I haven't shot it since.

I should add that I did not clean it before I shot it. A friend of mine gave me grief over this, suggesting that it was probably the cause of the problems.

Also sometimes those Tactical light recoil loads won't cycle a autoloader.
