This thread is basically a writers version of the identically named thread in the S & P forum. Pretty simple: List the writing accomplishments or what you are trying to accomplish this week, whether it be completing a new chapter or editing the plotline.

I've been doing the FINAL (hopefully) revision of the plotline before beginning the actual novel, a task which I have been relishing yet putting off for months. I hope to finish the novel by the end of this year with the aid of the plot outline.

I have done 3 chapters, this week albeit short chapters but moving the book along nicely. Last week, I did two more chapter which were a little longer. I'm up to 53000 words.

I set mine up in Word so that the pages mimic the layout of a normal hard cover book. This way, I can keep a fairly accurate page count...170 so far.

I have PowerWriter, but I haven't done much with it. I can see that it is a good program, but I seem to do better with Word.

 Very nice progress! As soon as I actually start, I'll blaze through the actual writing process, at least I hope I will. :dunno:

You should be able to get it done pretty quickly with such an extensive outline. My trouble, so far, has been all the descriptive writing...creating the imagery that brings the reader in and lets them see what I see. It's not always easy. I suppose I just don't have the knack for that, but I'm getting better as I go. I know I'll have to go back in and touch it up when I finish.

I have problems with over-describing scenes or other elements of the story, no matter how irrelavent. I generally have to go back and cut out countless unnecessary adjectives. I've been working to eliminate this habit, but its still difficult.
